Here’s the full details and patch notes on Halo Waypoint. A new update for Halo Infinite has today been released by 343 Industries across Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC platforms. 24 at Amazon 29.99 at GameStop 59.99 at Best Buy. It’s a known issue, so we hope 343 can address it in short order. Heralded as the shooter’s biggest multiplayer update, Season 3 will introduce a new 100-level battle pass, three new maps to fight on, a new escalation slayer mode that appears to be focused on racking up the killstreaks, and some new kit in the form of the shroud screen deployable and the M392 Bandit rifle. That’s a pretty significant performance issue to have introduced, though thankfully 60 FPS play has been perfectly smooth for us. Published A Halo Infinite fan reveals that the game has removed plenty of fan-favorite maps and modes from matchmaking playlists in Season 3. Additionally, Xbox Series X and Series S users that enable the 120 FPS Target Framerate setting are now limited to 90 FPS.

There’s a significant amount of frame and loading stutter now evident when navigating menus which were perfectly smooth to navigate up until this point. Halo Infinite has been in an extended slump since its second season began 10-months ago, but 343 Industries are hoping to turn things around when Season 3: Echoes Within starts next week on March 7th. However, this season 3 update comes with a noticeable downside. PC players can also enable ray traced sun shadows (not available in campaign) which will be added to Xbox Series X in future. This is all good stuff, alongside a bunch of tweaking, rebalancing and quality of life improvements. Almost a week ahead of Halo Infinite Season 3's launch, developer 343 Industries has released new information about the upcoming updates maps and modes.
